The stretch fabric also helps to maintain a close fit to maximise the insulation properties of the fleece fabric.
The addition of a fixed lightweight hood is a real bonus when climbing as it will fit nicely under a helmet or act as an emergency beanie if the weather turns nasty when in the hills and as it is so minimal and compact it wont get in the way when not in use.
Nice long arms are articulated for reach and to minimise hem lift when reaching high, the low profile cuffs feature thumb loops to make sure the sleeves dont ride up and to insulate the vulnerable wrist area.
