The gloves themselves, as you would expect from OR are of the highest quality, and made using the best materials and fit superbly. These Lucent gloves are made with a tough nylon Gore-tex membrane with a leather palm and Enduraloft insulation throughout, with more insulation positioned on the back of the hand to add further warmth. In their own rights they are a completely water and windproof glove, but with the added magic of Altiheat powered technology they transform to a super warm heated glove that spreads the heat evenly throughout the whole glove to keep you warm from your finger tips to wrist.
The Altiheat technology has three customisable settings, High, Medium and Low so you can choose the amount of heat you need and for how long simply by pressing the built in switch on the back of the gloves. The high setting will heat for 2.5 hours, medium for 5 hours and low for 8 hours. The slimline rechargeable lithium ion battery is housed in a zip compartment on the inside of the wrist and is hardly noticeable in use.
