Built to withstand pretty much anything a rocky mountain can throw at them, the Rugged II Mountain Pant is your best friend when it comes to protection and comfort.
The main body of these trousers are made from Haglofs work-wear rated Climatic fabric. This fabric has some real guts about it as all work wear rated fabric have to undergo some serious abrasion testing for it to pass, so rubbing up against a bit of rock will do little to no damage.
Sitting or kneeling down on a wet mountain day can be a real pain in the bum if you haven’t got anything dry to sit on. Haglofs have solved this by fitting the knees and seat have been with a durable, stretchy, waterproof soft shell fabric that not only allows for great freedom of movement, but thanks to the imbedded membrane keeps your bum and knees dry.
Getting a bit hot on the ascent? Don’t worry, if you reach down you can open the strategically placed vents found on the outside stitching of both legs. These work wonders for dumping heat and getting you back into your “comfort zone”.
The waist features elasticated Velcro adjusters so you can ditch your belt if you are climbing or wearing a pack to avoid excess bulk around the waist. The trouser hems have a Gaiter hook that attaches to the laces and webbing adjustments help keep the weather out and the heat in when temperatures begins to drop.
And when not on the hill they make a great pair of gardening trousers.
