The compact Petzl TacTikka Plus Black headtorch is designed with stealth in mind; it is perfect for tactical activities, fishing, hunting and nature watching. This versatile and reliable headlamp offers a selection of beams to choose from all with their own intended use. It has a useable brightness of 200 lumens and a minimum of 5 lumens and will run at full whack for 60 hours, while 240 hours is achieved on the lowest brightness.
The Tactikka also comes equipped with a red LED for when stealth is necassary or to preserve your night vision while out navigating. This will operate at 5 lumens for a huge 240 hours. The maximum brightness of 200 lumens will last for 60 hours, more than enough for any outdoor adventure without needing to carry spare batteries. A neat feature is that the Tactikka will automatically switch to reserve mode when the batteries are running low, this gives you 5 lumens of light for 40 hours; which should be plenty of light to get you to safety. When the batteries are almost depleted the headlamp switches to the red LED to warn you of impending darkness!
If required, the headtorch is also able to be switched to 100 lumens. This is useful for indoor situations of during travel as the light won't be as strong during close proximity. The red light can also be switched from proximity to strobe lighting which is visible at 700m for 400 hours.
If you get caught out in a shower, the Tactikka is rated IPX4, therefore it'll resist light to medium showers of rain before anything begins to pass through. It's water resistant, basically.
Tactikka is also a hybrid; it can be operated with the standard batteries included or by Petzl's own Core rechargable battery.
