The Source Hipster hydration pack has been designed in cooperation with endurance athletes from the world of mountain biking and endurance running. It is designed to ensure your complete hydration without impeding activity or restricting movement. The weight of water is carried on your hips in a compact bum-bag style pack. You also get a removable harness to add extra support and stability if required; this also serves well to keep the bite valve located near your chest for ease of use. The Hipster a truly versatile hydration pack that works perfectly for hiking and nordic walking as well as ultra-marathons and endurance bike races.
The main zipped compartment houses the superb 1.5 litre Widepac reservoir which is easy to fill, clean, and dry thanks to it's massive wide opening. The leak proof sliding closure keeps the water in during use and the Helix bite valve provides fast flowing hydration and can be locked off to stop unexpected leaks. The hose can be removed from the bladder, even when it's full, which makes refilling simple as you don't have to unthread the hose from the pack. The bladder features technologies to keep it performing like new time after time. As well as housing the reservoir the main compartment also has enough room things like a windshirt, gloves and hats etc. On the outside of the pack you get two small velcro pockets and an elasticated stash pocket. The hip fins feature zipped mesh pockets for those bits and pieces that you need to get to easily and there are two bungee cord loops to allow you strap stuff to the outside. All in all you get plenty of useful storage for the bare essentials.
If you are using the Hipster without the stability harness there is a handy magnetic clip on the front of the hip belt to captivate the bite valve to stop it flapping around. Another really nice feature is that the belt buckle is offset to stop it digging in or chafing.
