      Trekitt Terms And Conditions

      These Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions between Trekitt and yourself. They do not affect your statutory rights. By accessing this website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by these terms and our Privacy Policy, please read them carefully.

      In these Terms, unless the context requires otherwise:

      • “Trekitt” means the Trek Kit (Hereford) Ltd company and their retail store in the UK.
      • "Contract" means each contract for the supply of Goods by us into which these Terms shall be incorporated
      • "Card" means the credit or debit card which you use to make payment for the Goods
      • "Goods" means the goods which we supply in accordance with these Terms
      • "Order" means a purchase order in respect of the Goods issued by you to us

      We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions.

      To order goods on our website, you must be at least 18 years of age and accept our delivery terms. 

      Users must provide contact information (such as name, delivery address and telephone number) and financial information (such as card number, cardholder address, expiry date and security number).

      All orders placed on our website will be acknowledged electronically by e-mail. Please note that verbal and/or electronic acknowledgements do not constitute order confirmation or order acceptance.

      In the unlikely event that one or more of the Goods you ordered is unavailable we will immediately refund the value of the unavailable Goods to your original method of payment and inform you by email as soon as possible. Any remaining available Goods on that order will be processed as normal.

      Your order will be accepted, and the creation of a legally binding contract between you and us will take place upon delivery provided that we have processed and received payment in full for such Goods.

      Trekitt has taken every care in the preparation of the content of this Website, and in particular to ensure that prices quoted are correct at time of publishing; and that the Goods have been fairly described. However, please note that we may only accept Orders if there are no material errors in the description of the Goods or their prices as advertised on this Website. 

      Non-acceptance of an Order may be as a result of one of the following:

      • Our inability to obtain authorization for your payment. We may contact you to check your Card details
      • The identification of a pricing or product description error as referred to above.
      • You not meeting the eligibility to order criteria as set out in these Terms.

      Whenever we need to contact you we will use the contact information you have provided. 


      The total price payable will be stipulated at the time when you place your order whether or not the order has been acknowledged. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in our suppliers' prices, the imposition of any taxes or duties; or if due to an error or omission.

      All prices are inclusive of VAT but exclusive of delivery charges which will be payable as indicated at the time the order is placed.

      Prices, offers and products are subject to availability and may change before (but not after) we accept your order. If a product becomes unavailable we will inform you.  

      Although we endeavour to ensure that all pricing information on the website is accurate, occasionally an error may occur and goods may be mispriced. If we discover a pricing error we will, at our discretion: either contact you and ask you whether you wish to cancel your order or continue with the order at the correct price; or notify you that we have cancelled your order. We will not be obliged to supply goods at the incorrect price.

      On occasion, the prices payable and promotions offered in respect of goods advertised on the website may differ from those prices and promotions offered at the same time in our shop. We are under no obligation to honour any shop price or promotion in the event that they differ from those on the website. Similarly, our shop is under no obligation to honour any website price or promotion in the event that they differ from those in the shop.

      Prices that are reduced for sales and promotions are only valid for the specified period.

      Method of Payment

      We will not deduct the price from your Card until the Goods are despatched. We may delay despatch until receipt of authorisation for payment to be taken from the Card provided. You can pay using your credit or debit card that is either VISA, Master Card or Maestro. It is imperative that you provide the cardholder's name as it is shown on the card, phone number and address exactly as it appears on the card statement.

      Card fraud is illegal and will lead to prosecution in all cases.

      Order Processing

      Your order is sent directly to our secure terminal in the shop for processing. Once we have received your order and payment, our staff will pick, pack and dispatch the item. We will aim to do this the same day for all orders placed Mon-Sat (excluding Bank Holidays).

      Why you can feel secure shopping with us.  We use the industry leading internet payment company Sage Pay and PayPal, to protect your card details and protect us from fraud; the following security systems are used.

      Transaction security.  All transaction information passed between merchant sites and the Sage Pay VSP Systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent to your servers from Sage Pay are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing you pass to the Sage Pay servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.

      Encryption and Data Storage.  All sensitive data is secured on Sage Pay using internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards. The data they hold is extremely secure and the system is regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so.

      Links to banks.  Sage Pay has multiple private links into the banking network that are completely separate from the Internet and which do not cross any publicly accessible networks. Any cardholder information sent to the banks and any authorisation message coming back is secure and cannot be tampered with.

      Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure Code. To ensure our mutual security and give you even more confidence in shopping online with Trekitt, we have introduced Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure Code These services enhance your existing credit/debit card accounts against unauthorized use when you shop with us. To use this service, you must first register with the bank or other organisation that issued your card.  Once you have registered and created your own private password with your card issuer, you will be automatically prompted at the checkout when the card is being processed to provide this password each time you make a purchase.  Please note that your Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure Code password is related to your credit/debit cards and is not your Trekitt customer account password. Trekitt does not have access to your Verified by Visa or MasterCard Secure Code password.

      Employee access. No individuals within Sage Pay are able to decrypt transaction information or cardholder data. Their systems only allow access to our most senior staff and only in extenuating circumstances (such as investigations of Card Fraud by the Police). Your card information is secure even from their own employees because the systems never display the full card numbers, even on administration screens.


      We strongly believe that Trekitt offers some of the best outdoor equipment available today and we understand that your purchase is an investment in your outdoor passion; it deserves the best possible care and attention. You will have a number of delivery options available to you at checkout so please ensure the service you select meets your needs and matches your order value. Think of it as insurance!

      Trekitt Standard Delivery Service - uses Royal Mail. This service is able to deliver your goods to anywhere in the UK, including Northern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man. This service officially takes up to 10 working days, but it is usually much faster.

      Trekitt Express Delivery Service - uses Royal Mail Tracked. This service allows you to track your parcel to your door and requires a signature. Royal Mail Tracked is able to deliver your goods to anywhere in the UK, including Northern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man. The Tracked Delivery Service usually takes between 2 - 3 working days for your goods to arrive from receipt of order. Parcels addressed to Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man will be tracked up to acceptance into the territory.

      Trekitt Premium Delivery Services -  use Interlink Express and several options can be selected at the checkout to provide a fast and secure tracked service with email/text notifications directly to your chosen destination. However deliveries to Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Scottish Islands and Isles of Scilly may take additional time.

      BFPO - All BFPO orders are sent using APC courier services who will deliver your order to HQ BFPO RAF Northolt. Onward delivery to final destination is via the BFPO tracked service and will take additional time.

      We make every effort to deliver Goods within the estimated timescales; however delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors. Trekitt shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the Goods within the estimated timescales.

      Deliveries will adhere to the timescales selected, if the order is placed before 3pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will be despatched on the following Monday (excluding bank holidays). Although we will make every reasonable effort to ensure your products are delivered within the set timescales, we cannot guarantee that they will not be affected by unforeseen issues affecting our delivery partner. Under these circumstances, additional delivery charges will not be refunded.

      Delivery to your Card address.   When you have selected the Goods that you wish to purchase from us, the delivery address will default automatically to the billing address associated with your Card.

      Selecting an alternative address.  However, should you wish to send the Goods to an alternative address then you can enter this in the delivery address form as you proceed through the checkout process. The alternative address can be either residential or business.  To make life easier for you, if you set-up an account with Trekitt then you can store multiple addresses so that when re-ordering you can select from your delivery address book saving you the hassle of filling out the form again.

      Delivery charges. The delivery charges are applied according to a simple banding structure based on the value of your total basket. There is only one delivery charge per Order.  Our current charges (as of 1st November 2013) are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing UK rate. 

      Risk of loss or damage to the Goods shall pass to you at the time the Goods are delivered.

      Redirection / Return of Consignment Once Despatched.  Unfortunately, we regret to say there is up to a £10.00[GBP] surcharge should the parcel need to be re-routed to a different address once despatched (We do recommend that all orders are sent to an address where a signature is available). This is because we are charged for this service by our couriers and we cannot absorb this cost. We reserve the right to change the delivery prices without prior notice. While we make every effort to ensure that delivery takes place within the stated time scales hours, we cannot fully guarantee any delivery times.

      Customer Rewards

      The Trekitt  Customer Reward scheme allows you to earn points every time you shop with us. The points you earn can be used to spend on products both online and in store. You can spend your points as soon as they're on your account, so you won't have to wait around for your savings. You must register as a Trekitt customer to earn and redeem your points. Registration can be completed online and in the shop.

      Customer Reward points are awarded for every £1 spent and are valued at 0.001p per point.

      Trekitt reserves the right to amend the number of points earned per £1 without prior notice.

      Customer Reward points can be awarded and redeemed in any Trekitt shop or website.

      Customer Reward points are not redeemable for cash.

      Customer Reward points are not awarded to goods discounted by more than 25% from the RRP during any sale or promotion.

      Customer Reward points have a 12 month expiry period. Should there be no activity (earning or spending points) for a rolling 12 month period your Customer Rewards account balance will be reduced to zero. Your account will remain active in order for you to earn and spend points in future.

      Warranties and Liability

      Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation.

      In the absence of any negligence other than breach of duty by Trekitt, your use of any Goods other than in accordance with their operating manuals and/or instructions is entirely at your own risk.

      Trekitt will make every effort to deliver Goods within a reasonable time from the date of your Order and to comply with our obligations under these Terms, but we cannot be held responsible for delays or failures due to adverse weather, traffic delays, mechanical breakdowns or other circumstances beyond our control.

      The information contained in the material in this Website is only for information purposes. Trekitt, by permitting the use of this Website, does not hold itself out as providing any legal, financial or other advice. We reserve the right to refuse the sale if we have reasonable cause to believe you are below the age of 18 years, or if we believe that the supply of Goods to you may infringe the law or present an unacceptable potential risk to the safety of others. Our main goal is to promote the safe use of the specialist tools and for this reason we always take steps to ensure that our knives and tools are promoted in a responsible manner.

      A person who is not party to this agreement shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of this agreement. This clause does not affect any right or remedy of any person which exists or is available otherwise than pursuant to that Act.

      REFUNDS: All refunds will be made to the original method of payment and we aim to process them as quickly as possible, however during busy periods this may take up to 5-7 working days.       When returning items for a refund please ensure they are in their original condition (see below). Items must be new and unused and be accompanied by the appropriate paperwork. It is essential that you supply your order reference/receipt number so we can match any necessary refund.

      • Original condition means we would like the items back as you received them.
      • Items must have their original labels and tags.
      • Items must be in their original boxes/packaging as supplied by the manufacturer. This is particularly important for footwear.
      • Items must be complete with all spare parts, instructions and components.
      • All returns must be sent using appropriate protective packaging.

      NON UK POSTAGE RETURNS: Please exercise some common sense when returning items to us and ensure the service you use corresponds to the size/weight/value of the item.  We do not accept liability for lost or damaged returns parcels.

      RETURNS IN THE SHOP: You can also return or exchange Goods at the Trekitt shop but must present the sales invoice supplied by us in respect of such Goods as proof of purchase. If you choose to receive a refund the Trekitt shop will refund the price of the Goods (excluding delivery charge) as shown on this sales invoice to the original method of payment. Alternatively, you may exchange product(s) for Goods of an equal or higher value for which you will receive a new receipt.



      We love this business and take a lot of time personally selecting the products we sell. We are confident that the kit we select is the best currently available, because of this we offer our Trekitt Common Sense 3 year guarantee on every product we sell.

      Put simply - if within 3 years a manufacturing fault develops in the materials or workmanship of a product that we sold you, we will sort it out.

      We cannot make any decisions without seeing the item so we reserve the right to inspect the item at our premises to determine any fault. We may also send the item to the original supplier or an independent and fully certified testing company to seek a professional assessment; this process can take up to two weeks. Should the item be found to be faulty we aim to reach a fair and agreed solution, which may be a refund, replacement or a professional repair.

      The "common sense" bit.  Please don't send us kit that has obviously been used and abused and is completely worn out, and then expect us to replace it. Stuff does wear out, it’s a fact of life, however if you feel that your purchase is genuinely faulty please send it back to us.

      Return your items along with a completed Trekitt returns form (from our website) and proof of purchase including as much detail about the fault as you possibly can. Contact us at and we will email you a pre-paid returns label PDF which you can print out and attach to your parcel; alternatively we can send you one by post. Unfortunately this service is not available outside of the UK but we will happily refund your return postage costs.

      THIS BIT IS IMPORTANT! - Items must be returned in a clean and dry condition and be free from mud and dirt. Items that do not meet with these criteria may have to be professionally cleaned and dried resulting in a delay of up to two weeks to process your claim. Alternatively we may refuse acceptance and return the items to you.


      Customers Right to Cancel (Distance selling regulations)

      If you wish to exercise your right to cancel your order under the distance selling regulations (DSRs) - you will need to inform us in writing within fourteen days of delivery. You can do this by letter, email, or by returning the goods with a completed returns form; contact us at and we will email you a pre-paid returns label PDF which you can print out and attach to your parcel; alternatively we can send you one by post.

      Outward Postage charges will be reimbursed in the case of faulty or incorrectly supplied items, or an order cancelled under the DSRs.

      We will not charge a restocking fee for returned items.
