Thie T3 Snap-Up is the original design and is made from 100% mildew resistant and water repellant Cotton Duck fabric. This tough and breathable fabric has a UPF of 50+, dries exceptionally and is comfortable to wear. A wide brim offers full protection from glare and keeps the rain off your glasses without obscuring the view. The Snap-Up function of the brim, besdes giving an Antipodean slant to your style, actually makes the hat feel more secure on your head, so when it's super windy snap-up the brim and tighten the cord. I've had one of these hats for over 15 years and it is still going strong, I've worn it in 40°C heat, pouring rain, snow and gales and it has always kept me well protected.
Each and every Tilley hat features a secret stash pocket inside the crown where you can stow away cash, credit cards, keys etc. Inside this pocket there's also a removable non-absorbent foam liner to provide buoyancy and impact protection, from personal experience I have found the hats to be much cooler if this is removed, but obviously they wont float! You also get an adjustable and tuck-away wind cord to keep your precious hat on in blustery conditions.
