At higher temperatures, or during sports activities, the polymer structure of the C-Change membrane opens in response to increased moisture; basically when you get sweaty. Excess heat and moisture can then escape to help regulate your temperature. In the cold, or at times of low activity, the membrane remains closed, the polymer structure contracts and keeps the heat close to the body to effectively reduce shivering or chilling. Brilliant!
As well as all that incredible C-Change technology you also get a stretch elastic cord that tightens up around the back of your head for total security in exposed windy conditions. The wide brim is half filled with lightweight foam to ensure full buoyancy and adds stiffness in high winds. Further wind resistance is provided by a lower crown profile and the wide brim can be snapped up to get it out of the way or for that authentic Aussie look.
