The X Alp MTN is a fully waterproof, comfortable leather boot designed for prolonged use in mountain environments. Whether you fancy a little approach, scrambling or just general walking, it's designed to take you there in comfort and confidence.
A Gore-Tex membrane provides a waterproof barrier, keeping your feet dry and comfortable during wet walks. Further increasing comfort is a thick layer of foam around your feel, ensuring knocks and bumps are absorbed and your heel is held firmly in place. Rubber reinforcements are then added to the toe and heel of the boot, providing protection and stability.
Salomon include their 3D edging chassis in the X Alp, ensuring twice the flexibility of their standard design but with the same level of lateral edging. This is especially useful for scrambling and approach purposes, creating a more accurate feel underfoot. A high traction contagrip sole takes care of the rest, with deep lugs gripping most surfaces and a climbing zone area at the front to further improve accuracy.
A 1.5mm thick Nubuck leather upper ensures you stay protected and comfortable while out in the hills. Leather does require a little more attention over time, however if taken care of will last longer and is preferred by those looking for a more traditional look.
