The Keb Lite Padded Jacket is the ideal midlayer piece during cold conditions, however it works just as well on it's own with just a baselayer underneath.
What makes this such a brilliant midlayer? Firstly, the outer fabric is a smooth and frictionless nylon which slides effortlessly over baselayers and under shell jackets, the lack of hood means you won't have several hoods bunching up and creating and uncomfortable mess of fabric, and the insulation is super warm and compressible, easily allowing hardshells and softshells to be layered over the top without restricting movement.
Insulation is taken care of by Fjallraven's own G-Loft Supreme, a synthetic insulation which maintains the majority of it's warmrth when wet, can be compressed down into a fraction of it's original size, is super lightweight and most of all, is warm enough for year round use. It can be worn under a shell during foul weather, on it's own on cool spring evenings or with other layers in the depth of winter. Not only this, but the entire content of the insulation is recycled over and over, meaning you're doing your bit for yourself as well as the planet.

Two hand pockets are positioned specifically to allow you to reach through the ventilation zips on your hardshell and into the Keb's pockets, while an internal chest pocket houses essential items such as a phone, keys, change or snacks. The two-way front zip allows you to unzip from the bottom when seated, while wearing a harness or when you have to answer the call of nature. Inside one of these pockets you'll also find a stuff sack to compress the Keb down.
