The Raven Padded is a warm, weather resistant, reliable and highly durable insulated jacket, perfect for general walking, travelling and everyday use. It takes style from the original Greenland jacket, yet adds a few modern features which make it more usable day to day.
Starting with the outer fabric, Fjallraven use their G-1000 Eco fabric - an extremely reliable, weather resistant and eco-friendly mixture of recycled polyester and organic cotton. Not only is this fabric treated with Greenland Wax from the factory to offer a moderate level of water and wind resistance, but can be adapted later on in life to add or remove weather resistancy. If you're right in the middle of winter and need some more weather protection, you can wax the jacket with nothing more than a camp stove or a hairdryer; if you require a little more breathability simply wash the jacket at 40 degrees and the wax will be removed.
Aiming itself at winter use, the Raven Padded features a recycled polyester insulation to provide reliable warmth in cold conditions. This synthetic insulation (technically called Supreme Microloft) will also maintain the majority of its warmth when wet, making it ideal for our damp British winters.
A lightweight hood is stored away in the collar, while 4 buttoned pockets store everyday items which don't require the use of a pack. Lastly, a drawcord on the waist and hem secures the improved fit around your body, improving warmth.
