What are the Oriel leggings?
The Oriel Leggings are an ultra-comfortable pair of do-it-all women’s outdoor trousers that are so versatile you will want a pair for every day of the week. They are a great summer walking trouser, a perfect climbing pant, they fit well under a pair of waterproof trousers when it’s wet outside, then for the days when you aren't running around in the mountains they are ideal for gym and yoga sessions or just chilling on the sofa. You'll probably never want to take them off because they look so good on and feel great! More importantly, these leggings do not have a seam down the front centre panel which stops them from riding up.
What are the Oriel Leggings made of?
Arc'teryx have used a durable nylon knit fabric that is extremely comfortable next-to-skin and also withstands extended use against rock - hence why they are perfect addition to your outdoor adventure wardrobe. This material also wicks sweat and breathes exceptionally well, helping to keep you cool on the warmest of summer days. The high lycra content provides a comfortable form hugging fit that follows your every move without restriction.
A lot of leggings out there use the standard white lycra; this is renowned for being a bit revealing in the wrong light, so Arc'teryx have cleverly used black lycra in every colour of the Oriel Leggings, therefore eliminating show through.
What are the features?
For what is essentially a simple looking pair of leggings, the Oriels are still packed full of useful features such as a mesh-lined waistband that hugs your hips and effectively and wicks away moisture while remaining exceptionally comfortable under a harness or rucksack hipbelt. You get two pockets that sit on the outside of each thigh (again, out of the way of harnesses) and will easily hold a phone or a couple of running gels. We did cover this earlier but it's worth a mention again - there is no seam on the front of the leggings which not only makes them really comfortable it also stops them from riding up.
How do the Oriel Leggings fit?
The next-to-skin fit offers a very flattering silhouette without the bulk and weight of normal climbing or walking trousers. Length wise, the leggings sit just above your ankle. This provides coverage for the majority of your leg but doesn't uncomfortably overlap your sock.
