What are the Alpine Stretch Pants?
The Alpine Stretch Pants, as the name so accurately describes, are highly stretchy, lightweight trousers for alpine climbing, mountaineering, scrambling and a whole host of other mountain activities. Their minimalist feature set and durable fabric makes them long lasting and perfect for rugged terrain.
What are they made from?
The Alpine Stretch Pants are made from a mix of Granite Stretch and Granite Stretch Tough; the main fabric used is super tough, stretchy, durable and comfortable for long days in the mountains. As we all know, the weather changes instantly in the mountains; Montane have added a durable water repellent coating to the outer of the trouser, allowing light rain to repel off. If the fabric does happen to get soaked through, it will dry exceptionally quickly. Granite Stretch Tough is then used over the knees and instep to increase durability and abrasion resistance. Both of these fabrics have a UPF 50+ rating, ensuring protection from the sun's harmful rays.
What are the features?
Pockets wise, you get two zipped hand pockets, one of which has an additional security pocket and a rear zipped pocket. A microfleece lined waistband increases comfort and wicks away sweat, while gussetted ankle zippers allow you to fit the trousers over bulky mountaineering boots and walking boots alike.
How do they fit?
These trousers feature a slim, tapered fit with articulated knees to ensure you're not restricted. They're available in a regular and short leg for varying heights.
