What is the Stina Jacket?
With all of Fjallraven's products, you get a sense of quality that allows you to literally use the product for a lifetime, and most likely someone else's lifetime if you wish to pass it down to them. The Stina jacket is no different, featuring a tough G-1000 build, a great fit and a design best suited towards everyday use, travel and general walking.
What is it made from?
Like the popular Skogso jacket, the Stina is made primarily using G-1000 Lite, a durable yet lightweight and flexible fabric made using 65% polyester and 35% cotton. This fabric can be adapted with Greenland Wax depending on how water resistant/breathable you want the jacket to be, and is one of the easiest fabrics to care for in the outdoor world. G-1000 standard is then used on high wear areas such as over the shoulders and upper back to increase durability and weather resistance.
What are the features?
Features wise, you get two zipped hand pockets for essentialls (and obviously hands), a two way zipper, hem adjustment to seal out the cold and sleeves with high quality brass poppers on the cuffs. A lightweight hood with a stiffened peak keeps light rain off and can be waxed to add further protection.
How does it fit?
The Stina features a nice, tapered fit with a long length for greater coverage. The sleeves are pre-shaped to allow a greater range of movement, and the jacket overall is extremely comfortable. It has enough room underneath for additional layers, yet isn't baggy.
Summary
The Stina is a smart everyday jacket which we're confident will last a lifetime of use. The timeless design along with the brilliant fit and adaptable fabric means it's just as suitable for a walk on the Malvern hills or through your local countryside.
