What is the Skogso Jacket?
The Skogso is a hip length jacket that is wind resistant, water resistant, incredibly breathable and durable. This is the kind of jacket that you will find yourself using again and again for just about any activity, from trekking and travel to everyday wear.
What is the Skogso made from?
Fjallraven have used their phenominal G1000 fabric in two versions to make the Skogso tough and durable whilst being highly breathable and lightweight. G1000 is a blend of polyester and cotton offering fantastic breathability, durability and is lightly impregnated with Greenland wax to provide water resistance. The main body is made with G1000 Lite which offers enhanced breathability, is cooler to wear and also provides high UV protection and mosquito proofing whilst the shoulders and hood are constructed from G1000 original for enhanced durability. You can improve the weather resistance by adding more Greenland wax to the Skogso or wash the wax out for improved breathability in warmer conditions.
What are the features?
The Skogso features a fixed adjustable hood, twin zipped chest pockets, two zipped handwarmer pockets, a hem drawcord and popper cuff adjustments with brass poppers.
How does the Skogso fit?
The Skogso is a long, relatively slim fit with long arms. The body is roomy enough to allow extra layers, yet slim and long enough to fit nicely when trekking with a pack.
Summary
The Skogso is perhaps not the most technical outdoor jacket but it will provide you with years of reliable service and become one of those favourite bits of kit.
