What is the Iridium Hoodie?
The Iridium Hoodie is a lightweight stretch technical alpine hooded fleece with an external ceramic print designed to increase durability. This hard-faced fleece is perfect for moving fast through the mountains.
What is the Iridium Hoodie made of?
The Iridium Hoodie is made of a durable Pontetorto Tecnostretch Hard-Faced fleece with a ceramic print; this hard-face increases the water resistance whilst the ceramic print increases durability, making it suitable for use with a rucksack and when you require a little more abrasion resistance.
What are the features?
The Iridium Hoodie features a close fit, stretch bound hood that will sit comfortably under a helmet. Storage wise, the jacket has three pockets – two zippered and brush-mesh lined hand pockets that sit out of the way of a harness or hip belt on a rucksack and one external zippered chest pocket. The cuffs are low profile and sit comfortably under chunky winter gloves.
How does it fit?
The Iridium hoodie is cut using Montane’s ‘Athletic Mountain’ fit. This means the jacket is tailored to sit close to your body for fast-paced mountain activities – however, thanks to the articulated arms, doesn’t ride up when you’re climbing or scrambling.
Where does it fit in the layering system?
The iridium Hoodie is primarily designed as a mid-layer – it can be worn under a shell or insulating jacket in cold conditions but also performs exceptionally well as a stand alone piece on chilly, still days.
