90-day returns period

We hope that you are perfectly happy with your order from Trekitt, but we understand that you may want to return your purchase. We offer a 90 days return period from the date of purchase, and endeavour to process all returns within 48 hours of receipt.

We do not offer a free returns service. Therefore, all customers are responsible for any postage costs when returning any goods (excluding warranty returns).

For your convenience, follow here to the Royal Mail Returns Portal to arrange return postage for your items. This is not a Trekitt operated service.

Exemptions
PPE (Facemasks, Climbing Equipment etc. ), Food Goods, Socks & Underwear can only be returned if they have not been worn and/or removed from their original packaging with all swing tags still attached. If there is any sign or possibility that the goods have been used, tampered with or contaminated in any way, then we cannot accept a return on the grounds of consumer safety. Zips are typically not covered under a manufacturer's warranty.

What is it?

The Aconcagua is a mid-weight jacket that's fast drying, comfortable, robust and moisture wicking – the perfect stand-alone jacket on cold, dry days or a comfortable layer under a shell when you’re working hard in the mountains. It also works well as a ‘stash in the pack’ piece as it doesn’t take up much room.

What is it made of?

The Aconcagua is made from Polartec Power Stretch Pro – this material is a mix of polyester, polyamide and spandex. Polyester and polyamide not only great at wicking moisture away but are also incredibly durable, abrasion resistant and easy to take care of. The spandex adds that all important stretch you need when scrambling or using ice axes or walking poles.

To further add to that durability, the Aconcagua is then given a quick-drying nylon surface that helps to protect you and the jacket against abrasion and the elements.

What are the features?

The Aconcagua has two generously sized zippered hand pockets that sit out of the way of the harness and backpack waist band. They’re a great place to stash your phone, your compass and other bits you may need to get to quickly. The jacket also has comfortable stretchy thumb loops for a bit of extra warmth and comfort – these really come into their element under gloves as they ensure your sleeves don’t ride up when you need the protection.

How does it fit?

The Aconcagua fits into Mammut’s ‘Athletic Fit’ fit block – this means that the jacket has a ‘dynamic cut’ – this means that Mammut have cut the jacket to follow the contours of your body whilst the pre-shaped sleeves, underarm gusset and stretchy materials ensure that you’re not restricted in any way.

Where does it fit in the layering system?

The Aconcagua is primarily designed as a Midlayer – this means that it works well as a layer underneath a shell or insulating jacket. However, it is not limited to that – thanks to the tough nylon surface, the Aconcagua also works well as a stand-alone jacket on crisp, still, dry days or just as a round the town jacket.
