What is the Kyanite?
The Kyanite is a close-fitting, incredibly comfortable, stretchy fleece that is perfect for adding extra warmth to your layering system without adding excessive bulk or weight. This classic, neat finish means it also looks great as a piece of everyday clothing.
What is the Kyanite made of?
The brushed backed Polartec Power Stretch Pro material that is used in the jacket is great at moving unwanted moisture away from your body, keeping you warm and comfortable. The outer face of the fabric has a durable nylon finish that is functional and adds to the overall clean sleek design. The smooth finish also helps with easy layering.
What are the features?
The warm ScubaHood fits under a helmet and the No-Slip Zip stays put during use (nothing more annoying than zips undoing halfway through a climb!). Two zippered hand pockets will keep your hands toasty, your valuables safe and can be used as venting points thanks to the mesh interior lining. The stretch cuffs and hem provide extra comfort and help to seal in warmth, and as always, you get the Arc'teryx No-lift gusseted underarms which massively reduces the chances of your clothes riding up and exposing any of your delicate fleshy bits.
How does the Kyanite fit?
The Kyanite fits into Arcteryx's 'Trim' fit block which basically means that the jacket is cut slim through the chest and waist for a low profile fit. So you get a snug fit with room for another layer underneath without excess material. Length-wise, it sits at about 68cm (centre back).
