What is the Jam Hoodie?
The Jam is a lightweight, super stretchy and comfortable hoodie for both indoor and outdoor climbing. Despite its technical abilities, it'd also make a great everyday hoodie to wear around town or to the pub.
What is it made of?
It's made using Montane's own Thermo Lite fleece fabric. The inner of the fabric features a brushed fleece for comfort and moisture-wicking next to skin, while the outer features a smooth face to resist pilling. Although fleece is fantastically durable and simple to take care of, it does tend to smell a bit over time; this is why Montane have used a Polygiene treatment to ensure it remains stink-resistant for the lifetime of the garment.
What are the features?
A slim fitting hood comfortably fits underneath a climbing helmet, while a 1/3 length front zip allows you to ventilate. An external zipped chest pocket is about the right size for a phone or keys. Low profile flatlocked seams increase comfort next to skin and thumbloops keep your hands a little warmer while stationary.
How does it fit?
It's slimmer than your standard everyday hoodie, but not as snug as a technical midlayer. It features a length which is long enough to stay put while reaching above your head and never feels restrictive.
Where does it fit in the layering system?
It can either be used as a lightweight midlayer for cold mountain activities or as an outer layer when climbing or walking in still, dry conditions.
