What is the Icon?
The Icon is Black Diamond's most powerful headtorch, chucking out a massive 700 lumens of light — this makes it perfect for runners, mountain bikers, trekkers and all those who require light up to 140m in front of them.
What are the features?
Just because it can push out 700 lumens of light, it doesn't mean you're limited to it. Black Diamond's Brightness Memory allows you to hold the main button down to dim the light to a chosen intensity, then when you next come to use the torch, it'll still be on that setting. If you just need to dim the torch quickly, tap once and it'll reduce the light to 70 lumens.
Red, green and blue modes allow you to map read or cook, for example, without ruining your night vision, while various other modes such as strobe and SOS increase its versatility. An IP67 rating means it can be submerged in 1 metre of water for 30 minutes, so it'll easily be able to cope with a few soggy mountain bike rides. This rating also applies for dust, dirt, sand, etc.
Other features include the ability to swap out the included AA batteries for Black Diamond's rechargable lithium-ion battery, an included extra long cable to mount the battery pack in different positions and a waist strap for additional mounting capabilities.
