What is the Habitude?
The Habitude is a strong, roomy, easy to pitch tent for larger groups or families. It uses technology featured in MSR's technical mountain tents to provide a living space which is not only comfortable but extremely weather resistant.
What is it made of?
The flysheet is made from a tough 68D ripstop polyester with a 1500mm hydrostatic head, while the floor uses a 68D taffeta polyester with a 10,000mm hydrostatic head to deal with prolonged, compressed moisture; even the inner has a durable water repellent coating to deal with condensation. Lastly, the poles are made using a tough yet lightweight 7000 series aluminium.
How is it constructed?
The tent features three poles in total; two that overlap each other in the centre of the tent and one at the rear to extend the inner space. The overlapping design means, despite its height, it's stable and strong in windy conditions. It's an inner pitch first tent, so you attach the poles to the inner and then place the flysheet on top.
What are the features?
The main feature of this tent is its livability. The main sleeping area is 195cm tall, meaning the average adult will be able to stand up inside without any issues. The sides of the tent are steep to make maximum use of the interior space, while a huge porch gives you space to cook or store kit when stationary.
Please note, this EU version of the Habitude does not include a porch light.
