What is the Lifa Active?
The Lifa Active is a super breathable, high-wicking baselayer made using a mixture of Lifa and polyester. It combines these two technical fabrics to provide a super warm, highly breathable, moisture-wicking layer for virtually any outdoor activity when moisture management is paramount.
What is it made of?
This technical baselayer is unique in the fact that it's made using two different fabrics, one over the other. You've got Helly's own Lifa fabric next to skin with polyester layered over the top. Lifa has been a staple fabric in Helly Hansen's baselayers since the birth of the company in 1970; it was the first fabric which actively moved moisture away from your skin and pushed it out to evaporate, therefore keeping you dry and comfortable. Not only is Lifa extremely breathable and moisture-wicking, but warm and comfortable thanks to the soft insulative fibres.
To enhance the baselayer's wicking capabilities, Helly have layered a high-wicking polyester over the top — this not only provides a little additional warmth, but works with the Lifa fabric to transport sweat away from your skin. Thanks to these fabrics, this baselayer is one of the most breathable yet warm in Helly Hansen's range.
