What are they made of?As you may have guessed by their name, they're primarily made from carbon fibre and cork. Carbon is used throughout the shaft of the pole, while cork is used in the grip. Carbon is lighter and stronger than aluminium, so Black Diamond reserve it for their high-end poles where every gram is noticeable. Cork is used throughout the grip as it will manage moisture, is soft and comfortable and works with or without gloves. Aluminium is used for the FlickLock system, but more about that later.
What are the features?FlickLock Pro adjustment: Black Diamond's FlickLock adjustment has always been incredibly easy and reliable to adjust, however with some recent updates it's now stronger, lighter and even easier again. This quick adjustment system allows you to make fast, easy adjustments to the length of your poles at home or out on the trail. Other features include a 'Solution Strap' which gives added security when walking on technical terrain, an included 38mm basket and lastly interchangable carbide and rubber tips to account for varying surface changes.
