What is the IKO Core?The IKO Core is a super lightweight (just 79g!) and powerful headtorch which pumps out a massive 500 lumens on full whack. Thanks to its multitude of mounting options, it works for virtually any outdoor activity.
What are its features?Warning, this may be a long paragraph! Starting with the headband, the IKO uses Petzl's 'Airfit' band, a lightweight, minimalistic band with weight reduction in mind. The battery pack sits in the rear of the band to distribute the weight more evenly, resulting in less 'bobbing' if you happen to use the torch for running or biking. To top it off, this headband is water/sweat resistant, ensuring it stays put even in damp conditions.
The bulbs in the light itself are arranged in a way which distributes light more evenly. If you need to preserve battery life, there are three modes allowing you to dim the brightness and increase run time to 100 hours. These modes are easily interchangeable by one singular button. When you're out of juice, you've got a CORE rechargeable battery which reduces the number of disposable batteries ending up in landfill.
The IKO can be mounted in a variety of different ways: worn on your head in the traditional fashion, around the neck, placed on a flat surface, attached to a tent pole/tree or transformed entirely into a lantern using the included pouch.
Other useful features include reflective details for added safety, two lock functions to prevent it turning on when stashed in your pack and an external battery indicator to check remaining battery life. Finally, this headtorch is compatible with all Petzl helmets.
