90-day returns period

We do not offer a free returns service. Therefore, all customers are responsible for any postage costs when returning any goods (excluding warranty returns).

Exemptions

If there is any sign or possibility that the goods have been used, tampered with or contaminated in any way, then we cannot accept a return on the grounds of consumer safety. Zips are typically not covered under a manufacturer's warranty.

What is the Nuclei FL?

Featuring a windproof, highly water resistant outer fabric and Arc'teryx's own Coreloft synthetic insulation, the Nuclei is warm, incredibly lightweight, tough and packable. It's the ideal piece for alpine climbing, belaying, Scottish winter mountaineering and as a warm jacket to stick over your other layers when stationary. 

What is it made of?

Insulation: Arc'teryx use their own Coreloft Continuous 65 synthetic insulation inside the Nuclei. Thanks to its synthetic construction, Coreloft is virtually unaffected by moisture, packs down to a fraction of its original size and provides high amounts of warmth when using it as a stop-start piece in the UK or as a super warm active piece in alpine conditions. 

Outer fabric: Surrounding this toasty insulation is a tough, windproof and highly weather resistant 10D nylon fabric. Although 10D may convince you that this is as tough as tissue paper, it's woven in a ripstop construction to increase the durability far beyond that of a non-ripstop fabric. Its windproof construction boosts the overall warmth of the jacket tenfold, making it the perfect choice for super cold, windy, harsh conditions. A durable water repellent coating is then added to the outer of this fabric to allow light rain and snow to bead off the surface. 

What are the features?

Starting at the top, a fully adjustable, helmet-compatible StormHood adds valuable warmth and protection on cold belay stops and alpine ascents. Two external hand pockets store essentials, while two internal dump pockets are perfect for a warm set of mitts or gloves. An adjustable hem seals in warmth around your waist and can be adjusted easily when wearing a harness. 

How does it fit?

The Nuclei features a trim, regular length (67cm, size medium) and is designed to be worn fairly close to maximise warmth. If you're familiar with the Atom by Arc'teryx, the Nuclei is a little slimmer.  

Where does it fit in the layering system?

The Nuclei is primarily designed to be worn as an outer layer, either when stationary to provide warmth and protection or while climbing/mountaineering in cold, harsh conditions.
