What is the Moreno Jacket?
The Moreno jacket is an incredibly warm and lightweight Polartec Thermal Pro fleece. With its deep fur-like construction, it provides warmth and comfort for walkers, climbers or just during everyday life.
What is the Moreno made of?
The Moreno jacket from Mountain Equipment uses Polartec Thermal Pro, meaning it's one of the warmest and highest quality garments available for use as a mid-layer or stand-alone piece in more friendly environments. On top of being an excellent insulator, it's incredibly breathable, packs down relatively small considering the weight and doesn't include any unnecessary bulk or weight.
Thermal Pro fabrics are at least 20% warmer than standard fleece and 40% more compressible, taking up less space in your pack. This open structure fleece works best under a protective shell to avoid heat loss as it is not in the slightest bit wind resistant. Thanks to the high breathability the Moreno is perfect for fast-paced activities in extreme conditions or just use it to add warmth to your layering system for winter walking and mountaineering.
What are the features?
The Moreno Jacket features two zippered, generously sized hand pockets, a full-length YKK zip in the front and elastane bound cuffs and hem that help to seal out the cold.
How does the Moreno fit?
The Moreno Jacket fits into Moutain Equipment's 'active fit' block, meaning it sits nice and snug to maximise warmth.
Where does the Moreno fit in the layering system?
The Moreno's chunky design means it works exceptionally well as a super-comfy outer layer on chilly, still days. Even though the Moreno is chunky, it will still fit under a more relaxed fit shell jacket - which is perfect when the wind picks up and you're moving slowly.
