What are the Beta Pants?
The Beta Arc'teryx range is a versatile collection designed for diverse mountain activities and changeable weather conditions. Therefore, the Beta Pants are trousers that can easily tackle the elements, keeping you protected when hiking, trekking or hillwalking in any weather.
What are they made of?
The Beta Pants use a three layer Gore-Tex® with Gore® C-Knit™ backer technology, one of the most versatile Gore-Tex® fabrics available.
3L Gore-Tex® with Gore® C-Knit™ backer - This is a three layer waterproof fabric that offers extensive durability, wind protection and breathability. The C-Knit™ backer has specifically engineered laminate construction, making it much lighter and softer than other Gore-Tex® fabrics, yet just as (if not more) rugged. It uses extremely fine yarns to produce a slight stretch for flexibility, perfect for hikers, trekkers and backpackers who want optimum comfort with maximum protection from the elements.
The materials are Bluesign® approved. Bluesign® helps eliminate harmful substances often used in each step of manufacturing and production, making these trousers a much more sustainable option than others on the market.
What are their features?

The Beta Pants have full separating side zips down each leg, making them super easy to put on or take off quickly if you get caught in a heavy rainstorm and need a rapid extra layer of protection. They make it much easier to slide the trousers on over boots or crampons, so there’s no need to start stripping off in the middle of a downpour!
There is an elasticated waist to improve comfort and flexibility, with a drawstring to adjust the fit and help them feel more secure around the waist.
There are eyelets at the hem of the trousers for attaching shock cord attachments. Internal laminated reinforcements protect high wear areas such as the cuffs and the hem. Reinforcement panels increase the overall durability of the trousers, helping to prevent them from snagging on boots or ripping in more rugged, rocky terrain.

These trousers have a regular fit, meaning they sit slightly looser on the frame, allowing users to layer up underneath.
