What are the Extreme Salopettes?
The Extreme Salopettes are some of the warmest, most protective pieces of legwear available. They're designed to withstand all that an expedition or mountain summit can throw at them.
What are they made of?
Insulation: Providing the warmth inside the Extreme Salopettes is a DryActiv 3000 deep pile lining. This deep pile lining is one of the most durable, maintaince-free forms of insulation available, providing tonnes of warmth without having to worry about what the weather is doing. Despite the high warmth it offers, it isn't bulky and can be layered over additional layers if the temperature warrants it.
Outer fabric: A tough, windproof yet lightweight Pertex Quantum fabric surrounds the pile insulation and offers high amounts of weather protection. A Polardri mini-rip fabric is then laid over the seat, knee and inner ankles for added protection.
What are the features?
Starting from the top, you get adjustable elasticated braces, a large two-way front zip which allows you to ventilate when working hard, two zipped chest pockets, a part elasticated waist to fit additional layers if needs be, two full-length YKK side zips which can be unzipped from the bottom to remove over bulky boots or the top to ventilate, articulated knees and calf tabs to remove volume when not wearing additional layers.
How do they fit?
The Extreme Salopettes feature a voluminous, roomy fit to accomodate extra layers. Calf tabs allow you to take volume out, while articulation means you're never left feeling restricted.
