What are the Prism Pants?
The Prism Pants are Primaloft Silver insulated trousers that have been designed to provide high levels of warmth whilst keeping their pack size small and weight low. Equally well suited to throwing on at the end of a workout or trail run to gain some valuable heat back or as an all-round alpine insulation piece when conditions are poor in the mountains.
What are the Prism Pants made from?
30D Pertex Quantum outer fabric offers good abrasion resistance, as well as windproofing and high water resistance, especially when combined with the factory DWR coating to further help repel water.
The insulation comes in the form of 40g/m2 of Primaloft Silver, a 100% recycled synthetic insulation. Synthetic insulation performs incredibly well in wet and damp environments, enabling the Prism Pants to keep you warm even when they get wet.
The inner is taken care of by a PEAQ Synthetic lining that is supremely comfortable next to the skin, highly breathable and fast drying.
What are its features?
The Prism Pants are designed to be highly articulated, both through their overall cut and specific knee articulation points to aide free movement. A diamond crotch enables high step movement for scrambling and alpine use. ¼ length leg zips allow for access, enhanced ventilation and the ability to pull over trail footwear if throwing the pants on after a run or climb. A press stud on the ankle allows for volume adjustment and a tight fit against footwear to prevent heat loss.
How do the Prism Pants fit?
The Prism Pants are designed to be worn close to the body to provide maximum insulation. Because of this, a baselayer or low bulk trousers/shorts will fit underneath, but anything bulkier will have to be worn over the Prism Pants.
Where does it fit in the layering system?
Over a baselayer or low bulk trousers and underneath overtrousers and bibs. Can also be worn as extra insulation back at camp, in or out of a sleeping bag.
