The Super Terra Pants from Montane build on the superb reputation of the existing Terra range and add amazing durability and strength through technologically advanced fabrics and construction techniques.
Montane have used their own GRANITE fabric for this technical mountain pant, this incredibly durable fabric consists of double weave nylon and spandex to provide abrasion resistance, stretch and breathability with a soft cotton like feel. Cordura Hydro fabric is used on the seat and knees to increase abrasion and water resistance. Cordura Hydro has a 3000mm hydrostatic head so will protect you from wet conditions when sitting and kneeling. The instep area uses Cordura to protect from crampons, ski edges and bulky mountaineering boots.
Articulated knees and an active cut allow ease of movement especially when stepping high during climbing and scrambling and triple stitching is used in vulnerable areas to increase durability. You get plenty of pockets for all your essentials, there are two zipped hand pockets, the right one features a zipped security pouch and the left features a phone slot, a rear zipped pocket and two large zipped cargo thigh pockets. The hand pockets are mesh lined so if you leave them unzipped it helps to keep you cool and two zipped mesh lined thigh vents also help with ventilation.
The waistband is worth a mention as it features a soft fleece lining to wick away moisture and reduce rubbing and elasticated sections on the hips give some flexibility on fit if you are slightly between sizes. A strong webbing belt with low profile buckle provides a secure fastening.
At the bottom of the legs there are ankle zips for ease of access and to aid ventilation and press stud adjusters and a gaiter hook to provide a secure fit over your boots. Montane have really thought about the function and design of these pants resulting in a burly and practical pair of mountain and outdoor trousers suitable for all activities.
