Location: Herefordshire (with the potential to work from home and office in a hybrid model)

Who are we looking for?

We are now recruiting for a talented eCommerce content provider to join our energetic team in our rapidly growing outdoor retail business.

We are looking for an individual who shares our passion for the outdoors with natural design talent, has a way with words and the ambition to produce the best content available in the marketplace.

You will need to be a strong storyteller, adept with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and have an eye for detail and design that sets you apart from your competition.

You’ll be working closely with our eCommerce and Marketing teams, as well as liaising with the directors of the business to create effective visual and written communications across all our customer-facing channels, displaying a consistent message following our brand guidelines.

You will be required to take direction and initiative and be comfortable working under pressure, designing for both online and offline briefs to sometimes tight deadlines. You need to fit in, work well and pull your weight as part of a successful team.

Role:

You will primarily be responsible for a large share of our eCommerce content, providing well written copy as well as artwork and on point designs across a range of media channels, so an eye for detail and the ability to work fast and faultlessly are both essential.

You’ll also be directly involved in the creative design process for projects from start to finish, working with the rest of the team to produce successful and engaging campaigns.

Managing tasks and your workload using our online project management tools provided by the Microsoft Office 365 suite is fundamental, as is the ability to manage multiple projects at once, take ownership of your work and deliver results that surpass the initial brief.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You are to follow the company brand guidelines to;
  • Design weekly campaign banners for the Trekitt website
  • Design visual content for Trekitt Facebook and Instagram accounts
  • Design visual aspects to be used in our YouTube videos
  • Produce eCommerce product descriptions and content
  • Working with the web development team in designing new landing pages
  • Design newsletters, eShots and online adverts
  • Design and producing in-house marketing material
  • Produce promotional material for the Trekitt Service Centre
  • Provide quality control over all visual communications
  • Work with other team members to deliver projects against deadlines
  • Set clear guidelines for desired imagery and occasionally accompany the team on outdoor photoshoots.

Experience, Skills and Traits:

  • Experience and use of Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • A degree-level professional qualification relevant to graphic design Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to produce engaging and professional written content
  • A sound knowledge of SEO
  • Skilled in designing new material that fits its target audience
  • Self-motivated, highly organised, and able to work to demanding deadlines
  • Ability to manage own workload and activity on web-based management tools (training provided)
  • Experience of designing for both web and print
  • A positive and proactive attitude

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a design role is essential
  • Producing exciting written content to a deadline
  • A passion for the outdoor activities and experience with appropriate clothing and equipment
  • Provide a well-executed portfolio demonstrating excellent design principles in layout and typography
  • Photography experience is an advantage but not essential
