What are the Salomon Quest 4's?
The Salomon Quest Range is a long-standing legend in the Trekitt line up and this 4th Generation model is simply stunning! The Quest 4 is the perfect all-round mountain boot. They’re stable, supportive, lightweight, breathable and fit like a glove! The ideal option when you’re out bagging Munroe’s or just walking the dog in the countryside.
What is it made of?Upper: The Upper in the Quest 4 is a mix of Nubuck Leather and Synthetic fabric to perfectly blend durability, weight and breathability to give you the perfect all-round mountain boot. It features a protective to cap to help guard your feet against accidentally rock-kicks and the mobile ‘wings’ help hold the foot in place and accompany its movement, adapting to its shape and volume. The high cuff is extremely comfortable next to skin and gives you that extra bit of protection when you’re out on uneven terrain.
Membrane: This techy upper is backed by a Gore-Tex membrane, providing full waterproof protection to the entire shoe. A special treatment is then applied to provide extra protection, ensuring that the fabric does not absorb water during light rain and showers.
Midsole: Salomon use their EnergyCell EVA foam inside the Quest 4 to provide cushioning and shock-absorption.
Footbed: Moulded to match the contours of your foot, the OrthoLite insole provides superior cushioning, as well as breathability and durability, to upgrade the comfort and performance of the shoe.
Lining: The help move moisture away from your foot, the Quest 4’s feature a soft, breathable mesh and textile lining for extreme day-long comfort.
Outsole: The Quest 4’s use Salomons own Contagrip TD Outsole for maximum traction on mixed terrain and extended durability. Contagrip TD combines a deep, aggressive lug pattern with our most durable compound.
What are the features?ADV-C 4D Chassis: Protecting ankle articulations on the outer foot, this chassis provides extra stability, as well as more support around the heel to reduce fatigue when wearing a heavy backpack.
Gusseted tongue: The tongue is connected to the upper on both sides, preventing debris from entering the shoe, and keeping the tongue centred.
SensiFit: SensiFit cradles the foot from the midsole to the lacing system, providing a secure, snug, and virtually customized fit all around the foot.
Protective mudguard: A wrap of rubber around the base of the foot that protects the lateral and medial sides of the foot.
