BORN FROM A PASSION FOR THE OUTDOORS
In 1986, nestled at the foot of the Black Mountains, Dick Trepte established Trekitt to meet the demands of outdoor enthusiasts who, like him, craved high-quality gear that could withstand the rugged beauty of the British landscape. When the existing outdoor retailers couldn’t offer what serious adventurers needed, he took matters into his own hands.
A LEGACY OF PASSION AND ADVENTURE
For over 35 years, Trekitt has thrived as a family-owned business, guided by a deep love for the mountains and wild places. Dick’s sons, Mark and Paul, took the reins, navigating the company through both challenges and growth, ensuring that Trekitt remained true to its roots: providing exceptional outdoor equipment and sharing their passion with every customer who walked through their doors.

As the company expanded, so did the demand for their unparalleled service and expertise. Yet, despite the rapid growth, Trekitt’s commitment to quality and customer care never wavered. When it became clear that more resources were needed to sustain this growth, Mark and Paul sought out a partner who shared their dedication to the outdoors.

If you want outdoor gear then this is the place to go! A friendly and knowledgeable team with top quality products and quality service thats second to none. I have made several purchases here this year and they’ve often been cheaper than other online retailers as well as offering a generous rewards programme. I would honestly go here even if i found an item a bit cheaper elsewhere just due to the service. These guys have gone above and beyond to help me find my perfect quilt both in store and discussing my needs via email. They brought several models into store from their warehouse stock to let me have a look at with absolutely no pressure to purchase. They’re also dog people and Amber always gets a warm welcome so they’re obviously awesome!

Love this shop. Friendly and helpful staff. Booked an expedition fitting with them and they went out of their way to help with my many questions and were very knowledgeable. Pricing is always competitive but in addition they offer a loyalty rewards system if you sign up, so I was getting everything at the most reasonable price and with top customer service. Thanks especially to Saul in the office who helped me choose the kit and Tim and Debbie in store for their knowledge and patience!
