With Pre-Order, you can purchase the latest items added to our store in advance of them arriving with us.
Your Pre-Order is prioritised (at no additional charge); meaning that as soon as the product arrives with us, we can wrap it straight back up; ready for collection via Click & Collect or despatch to you — it often never even hits the stock room shelves!
With Pre-Launch, the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Pre-Orders.
So, instead, you can submit your email address against the item you are interested in and we will email you as soon as stock arrives on the system.
Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates are given on Pre-Order and Pre-Launch products. They are for indication purposes only and can change at any time without notice.
The dates we provide are based on indications given by our suppliers. Whenever we get updated information from our suppliers we will endeavour to update the Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates provided on product pages.

The Mountain Equipment Squall Hooded jacket offers everything you need in a lightweight climbing and mountaineering softshell; it is extremely tough and durable, repels all but the worst of the weather and is highly breathable. The design boffins at M.E have really applied all their experience and knowledge to produce a highly capable and versatile softshell jacket.
Exolite 125 fabric (125g/m²) is used throughout the Squall, this double weave softshell fabric has a smooth outer face to improve abrasion resistance and a soft inner to wick moisture and provide all day comfort. The tightly woven fibres repel wind and rain and it is treated with a DWR (durable water repellant) which can be topped up using Nikwax softshell proof. Because Exolite has no membrane it is highly breathable so you can put it on and keep it on irrespective of changes in the weather or levels of exertion.
The main zip is offset so that when it is done up fully the end does not rub on your chin or cause discomfort and a pleated face panel helps to seal out icy blasts, creating a little pocket of comfort for your lower face. Mountain Equipment are renowned for their superb hood design and the Squall is fitted with their Mountain HC hood which is fully adjustable, helmet compatible and features a reinforced brim. An Active Fit with articulated and pre-shaped sleeves combined with the stretch fabric allows unrestricted movement and improved comfort.
A single Napoleon chest pocket is all the storage you get on this minimalist piece, but to be honest when you are thrutching up a gnarly mountain route you wont want to be lugging pocket loads of stuff with you.
