So, why Trekitt with two T's?
We are very proud that we are still a family run, independent company. It all started on the 15th February 1986 in Abergavenny, a Welsh town in the shadow of the Black Mountains. Dick Trepte (our dad) set up the company with Neil Akitt (our brother-in-law) and it was a brilliant coincidence that the amalgamation of the two surnames perfectly suited our business "TRE-KITT".
The business is now run by me (Paul) and my brother (Mark) and we continue the tradition, established by Dad, of providing an enjoyable experience and excellence for our customers. Since childhood we have enjoyed being out in the mountains and we have both served with Longtown Mountain Rescue Team and remain closely linked with the team by being their main sponsor.
