Kuhl have designed the Liberator Convertible Pants to look as much like standard pants as possible, unlike other convertible pants these actually look really good on and can be used as everyday casual wear as well as trekking and travel duties without looking like you are covered in zips.
They are made from a quick drying, lightweight and highly breathable nylon and cotton blend fabric with a durable water repellent treatment. Kuhl have cleverly placed the cotton content on the outside and the nylon on the inside so that the cotton actively pulls moisture away from the nylon to the outside where it can easily evaporate. The fabric is combed and peached for extra softness without compromising durability. Liberator pants feature Kuhl Rhino Technology, which places a lightweight stretchy softshell fabric between panels of the outer fabric to give a skin like flexibility for natural stretch and comfort; this technology is used around the rear pocket and waistband area and in the articulated knees.
The Liberators easily convert into shorts by using the cleverly concealed thigh zippers, the zips don't snag and remain hidden from view to give a clean stylish look; there is even a little pocket on the seam to tuck the zip puller into. When converted the shorts have a practical 26.5 cm inseam so they sit just above the knee making them perfect for trekking and travel; with a UPF of 40 the Liberators are perfect for use in hotter climates even if you dont use the convertible feature.
The pants have Kuhls legendary fit and feel thanks to anatomical patterning and their famous Free Ryde waistband which follows the natural curves of your body to provide a contoured fit that moves with you. Another great feature is the Italian snap that is used as the waist closure, it sits flat against your body and doesn't dig into when you bend forward or when you are using a pack. The extra gusset panel in the crotch offers a better range of movement so you can use these versatile pants for scrambling and climbing. Designed around the Kuhl Full Fit for more room in the seat and thighs the Liberators are extremely comfortable to move around in.
The Liberator pants have a plenty of storage options with two hand pockets, one with a slot pocket, two rear pockets, two zipped thigh pockets and two mobile phone pockets, one for security and one for ease of access.
The Kuhl Liberator Convertible Pants have instantly become a staff favourite at Trekitt, they look really good, fit really well and perform superbly. We have found that if you are between sizes it is best to go larger as they come up a bit small around the waist.
