If you've ever found yourself needing more from your light or lantern, or are just sick of carrying both a lantern and a torch around, then the Leschi will definitely be worth considering.
At full extension the Leschi acts as a lantern, pumping out 110 lumens for two and a half hours. In the lantern setting the light is evenly spread out around you, whereas in the torch setting you'll receive a much more direct beam of light that will travel for 85 metres. All of this light is stored inside a durable, plastic water resistant body, rated at IPX5.
Unlike most lanterns which have a fixed handle or hook; the Leschi includes a shock cord for mouting. This means the lantern can be hung both horizontally and vertically. The versatility of the shock cord allows it to be attached to almost anything, whether it's a tent pole, guy line, tree limb or strap.
When in the torch mode, a solid light or a strobe can be accessed, with a 7 hour run time on the strobe setting and 2.5 hours on the solid setting. An 85 metre range provides light for more than enough distance while walking, camping or during everyday activities. If you want to preserve the battery life, the Leschi includes a low setting which lowers the lumens to 34, but almost doubles the burn time to 4 hours. However if you do eventually run out of juice, the light runs off a single AA battery for ease of use.
