What are the Haifoss Winter Pants?
They're insulated, waterproof trousers designed to keep you warm and protected during leisurely outdoor pursuits in winter. The Haifoss Winter Pants are the perfect accompaniment for winter walks, bushcraft, and even taking the kids sledging on snow days.
What are they made of?
The outer material is made from lightweight and durable polyester. It has a PU coating which gives it its waterproof and windproof nature and reinforces the polyester to resist general wear and tear from daily use. PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) encourages rain and snow to bead off the fabric instead of soaking in. If you're unsure, PFC-free means it hasn't used per-fluorinated chemicals that harm the environment - a much greener choice than conventional treatments.
The lining is made with breathable recycled polyester that offers a smooth, soft feel against the skin.
Synthetic polyester insulation fills these trousers. Synthetic insulation has multiple benefits depending on your activity and the conditions. It can retain heat when wet, unlike down, making it fantastic for damp climates and wet weather while being incredibly durable, lightweight and highly flexible for all-day comfort.
What are their features?
The waistband is partially elasticated to enhance freedom of movement, preventing it from feeling tight or restrictive around your midsection. Belt loops are added to allow you to wear a belt. However, you could also hook accessories and attach small carabiners to them if you need to.
There are four pockets in total - two rear zip pockets and two covered zip pockets on the hips for storing small essentials like snacks and doggy bags.
Preformed knees offer a more natural shape to give you better mobility and flexibility at the joints.
Zips at the end of each leg allow you to fit the pants over different footwear. Each zip is hidden to stop them from catching or snagging.
