What are the Masino Shorts?
Masino shorts are incredibly light, stretchy and versatile. These super simple shorts will excel in hot climate, no matter if you’re running parched mountain trails, climbing sun-drenched rockfaces, or hiking in the heat of the midsummer. Whilst they are incredibly lightweight, they are robust and durable to withstand heavy wear from multi-day backpacking trips and regular treks during the summer months.
What are they made of?
The versatility of these shorts lies in the Bluesign® approved and PFC-free fabric. The double weave Exolite 100 stretch Soft Shell is made from 94% Polyamide and 6% Elastane, to provide you with unrestricted movement which feels light and stretchy for optimum next-to-skin comfort.
Bluesign® approval means that these shorts were manufactured in a much more ethical, eco-friendly way. Bluesign® ensures that no chemicals or processes which cause harm to the environment are used during the production of the shorts, making them a much more sustainable option than lesser quality pieces on the market.
PFC free fabrics means these shorts don’t use perfluorinated chemicals during production, which cause harm to the environment, making it a much more sustainable way to create a garment.
What are their features?
In terms of storage, there are two asymmetrical zipped front pockets and a zipped internal rear pocket, to keep valuables such as keys, snacks or gels or a GPS close and secure.
The wide elasticated waistband remains comfortable during technical scrambles or challenging ascents. It has an internal drawcord for adjustment, to create the perfect fit around the waist and hips whilst offering the flexibility to promote excellent freedom of movement.
For reference, on a size large there is a 23cm inseam, which provides greater protection due to the slightly longer leg coverage.
How do they fit?
The stretch fabric and concealed pockets provide a streamlined and unrestrictive regular fit, suitable for running, walking or resting in camp at the end of a long hot day.
