What are the Convoy Utility Shorts?
Similar to Royal Robbins' classic Convoy Shorts, these shorts are super casual looking outdoor shorts with enough pockets to pack the kitchen sink... almost.
What are they made of?
These shorts use a Convoy blend of biconstituent fibres (made of polyester and nylon), polyester and cotton. The material feels great next to the skin, almost pure cotton like, whilst being durable and lighter than regular cotton - it also has properties similar to single polyester fabrics, including excellent wearability and wrinkle resistance.
What are their features?
Overall, they have a minimal yet functional design that is laid-back and versatile - they make a fantastic all-round short for both outdoor and urban use.
At the waist is a fixed waistband with a traditional button closure, reducing bulk and providing a much cleaner look.
In total, these shorts have an impressive eight pockets, including a drop-in hip pocket and zippered thigh pocket, perfect for stowing away essentials like a wallet, keys or mobile phone. There is also a utility pocket on the leg, again great for storing essentials you would may to access quickly, such as hill snacks and energy gels.
A gusseted crotch gives you extra fabric where you need it most, offering improved stretch and freedom of movement in vital areas. So, you don't have to worry about splitting your shorts on a steep ascent - leaving both your shorts and dignity intact!
