The Greenland Winter Jacket is ideal for those wanting to feel as Scandinavian as possible. It's satisfyingly simple and performs exactly how you want a winter jacket to.
Providing all the warmth is the Greenland's thick pile lining. This insulation is essentially the Land Rover of insulations; it may not pack down the smallest, be the lightest or the best in the rain, however it will keep going way past your old down jacket and is almost impossible to kill. This lining is present throughout the entire body and hood of the Greenland, while a synthetic insulation is used in the sleeves with a nylon backer to slide nicely over additional layers.
Fjallraven use their most popular fabric for the outer of the Greenland Winter Jacket; G-1000 Original. This polyester and cotton mix is almost completely windproof, highly water resistant and one of the most hard wearing fabrics available today. What makes it so great though is that you can control how breathable and water resistant you want it. If you require a high level of water resistancy and complete windproofing, give the jacket a wax with Fjallraven's Greenland wax and you're protected from the elements. If you want the jacke to be a little more breathable, leave the jacket unwaxed or simply wash in the machine at 40°C to remove the wax for the highest level of breathability.
In true Fjallraven fashion, you get super high quality brass poppers all throughout the front of the jacket, from the main zip to the several bellows pockets. While we're on pockets, you're given two large hand pockets which will easily take a phone, wallet, GPS or a map, while two chest pockets give you even more space for chosen bits and bobs.
Finishing the Greenland Jacket off is a vegetable tanned leather fox logo on the left sleeve, just to add a bit of class and detailing for everyday use.
