What is the Actik Headlamp?
The Actik Headlamp is perfect for climbing, camping, caving and night time adventures where visibility is low. It's versatile, comfortable to wear and provides a fantastic 450 lumens of power.
What are its features?
The Actik has two beam patterns - a wide, uniform beam that comfortably allows you to see up close or at your feet and a mixed beam (flood and focused) that gives you proximity and distance vision for movement.
Three white lighting levels meet the need for high-performance lighting for dynamic activities, whilst the red light setting preserves night vision without blinding your campmates next to you. An additional strobe setting allows you to signal your location for technical expeditions or emergency situations.
Thanks to the refined design and button configuration, this lamp is super easy to use. The single main button offers a quick and easy selection of brightness or beam colour, while the plate allows you to orient the lamp in your desired direction.
A battery charge indicator displays how much juice your lamp has left every time you switch it on or off, keeping you well prepared to ensure it doesn't suddenly run out of power. When low, you can recharge it using the type B micro USB port.
The Actik also has a handy phosphorescent reflector for locating the lamp in the dark, and a locking function to prevent it from accidentally turning on in transit and wasting power.
The hybrid concept design means that the lamp works with either three AAA/LR03 batteries (included) or the Core rechargeable battery (available as accessory) for increased convenience. The light automatically detects the energy source and adjusts the lighting performance accordingly. Clever huh? If you're using the rechargeable battery, please take note it takes roughly three hours to charge fully.
Overall it has an IPX4 rating, meaning it's weather resistant, so it will survive if you take it out in the rain, wind or snow.
The headband is reflective and feels smooth and comfortable on the skin. It can be removed and washed and provides a symmetrical fit for easy adjustment.
Finally, the Actik comes with a handy storage pouch that doubles up to transform it into a lantern when you need some extra visibility in your tent or around camp.
