Petzl's most detailed, highly featured and all round brilliant harness for high end climbing and mountaineering. Lets start with what they call 'Wireframe' construction. Spectra strands are used in the waistbelt and leg loops to distribute the load evenly without the use of foam and other cushioning. This creates a much lighter and more stable feel, ideal for mountaineering where minimalism and pack size matters. An extremely thin yet durable waistband and leg loops also contribute to this, lowering the weight and decreasing the pack size even further.
As well as cutting down fabric to make the harness as light as possible, this doesn't affect the comfort. Petzl use bonded fabric in the waistbelt, this coupled with having little to no through stitching completely eliminates chafing and pressure points. This also gives the best wear resistance possible. Just to top it off, the leg loops are elasticated to give optimal range of movement while climbing.
Adjustment is also as easy as possible without adding an excess of further weight. A forged aluminium buckle with a slim, rounded design offers good handling and a smooth strap guide for quick and easy adjustment. Accidental loosening has also been a consideration, with a ribbed adjustment strap to prevent this.
Being their most advanced harness, the features don't stop there. Reinforced tie-in points in high tenacity polyethylene offer higher wear resistance towards rope friction. Plenty of gear loops means you'll never be sacrificing or leaving anything behind, with two rigid high capacity front equipment loops, a removable separator for organised racking and quick access, two supple rear equipment loops to avoid creating pressure points when wearing a pack, two integrated tool holder slots and a rear loop for haul rope. As if all this wasn't already enough, this harness is made with Bluesign fabric, which respects the objectives of optimizing resource productivity, consumer safety, professional hygiene and security, and reduces air emissions and water pollution.
