What is the Aerotherm Jacket?
It's the perfect companion for hiking exposed mountain routes or trail running in breezy conditions. The Aerotherm offers complete windproof protection while lightweight and quick drying to provide extra warmth on the hill.
What is it made of?
The outer of the jacket is made using EXOLITE 45™, a stretchy, double-weave softshell material that offers fantastic durability with less weight and bulk. It has a smooth finish, dries quickly (handy for showery conditions) and can withstand abrasion from various terrain and general wear.
A micro-grid polyester lining promotes temperature regulation and feels lovely and soft to provide next-to-skin comfort, should you wear a baselayer tee or vest.
What are its features?
This jacket has an adjustable mountain hood with rolldown storage that stops it from flapping around in the wind when it's not being worn. The hood itself fits slimmer to the head to retain warmth and help to keep it in place if you're moving fast.
The 'Active Fit' is Mountain Equipment's trimmest fit. It sits closer to the body to minimise excess materials and gaping, maximising thermo-regulation and overall performance to suit multiple mountain activities and sports - it works well for hiking, fastpacking, trail running, scrambling... the list goes on!
At the front is YKK® moulded centre front zip that makes the jacket easy to put on/remove while expanding options for extra ventilation or dumping heat quickly.
There are two zipped hand pockets and one Napoleon chest pocket for storage, ideal for smaller items such as trail snacks, energy gels, a small compass or a mobile phone.
Cuffs are elastane bound to offer optimum flexibility and draw in the material closer to ensure heat isn't lost. The elastic also allows you to fit gloves underneath on colder days.
The hem features dual tethered drawcords for adjustment, and to top it all off, the entire jacket packs down into the pocket, which has twin carabiner loops to hook it to a pack, kit bag or even your trousers!
