What is the Megaflux Jacket?
The Megaflux is a super stretchy, durable, comfortable and incredibly breathable fleece hoody for active use in the mountains. Use it for climbing, scrambling, mountaineering, trekking... the list goes on!
What is it made of?
Unlike your standard fleece, the Megaflux uses two different fabrics to ensure the highest levels of breathability and durability. The main bulk of the jacket is made from Rab's own super stretchy, comfortable and incredibly breathable Thermic fleece fabric, while their tough and weather resistant Matrix softshell is used on the front of the pockets and the elbows.
What are the features?
A lightweight under-helmet hood provides extra protection when climbing or belaying, while flatlocked seams increase comfort next to skin. Two hand pockets along with two chest pockets store essential items that you need to keep close to hand. The cuffs are incredibly comfortable and feature thumb holes.
How does it fit?
The Megaflux sits in Rab's 'regular' fit block, however bear in mind that it is designed to sit close to skin to maximise performance, so don't buy too big. The sleeves and body are an average length, while the super stretchy fabric allows a full range of movement without restriction.
Where does it fit in the layering system?
It can either be used as a midlayer under a shell if you require added protection from the rain and wind, however when working hard on drier days it works as an outer layer too.
