90-day returns period

We do not offer a free returns service. Therefore, all customers are responsible for any postage costs when returning any goods (excluding warranty returns).

Exemptions

If there is any sign or possibility that the goods have been used, tampered with or contaminated in any way, then we cannot accept a return on the grounds of consumer safety. Zips are typically not covered under a manufacturer's warranty.

What is the Microlight Vest?

The Rab Microlight Vest is an incredibly versatile and practical gilet with a minimal streamlined design to keep all that down insulation as close to your body as possible. It works superbly as low bulk mid layer for active use in cold conditions and would provide enough core insulation for you to feel comfortable when out and about on a brisk autumn day on the mountain or around town.

What is it made of?

Filled with110gof 750 fill power Hydrophobic European Goose Down in narrow stitch through baffles to minimise down migration and give it great looks.Pertex Microlight fabric provides a lightweight shell that is wind resistant, breathable and durable. A light DWR (durable water repellent) is added to repel moisture and combined with the Hydrophobic down, provides reassuring performance in all but the worst conditions.Rabuses Hydrophobic down in all their down jackets, basically each and every cluster of down is treated with special Nikwax products to make them perform better in damp conditions. Although Hydrophobic down is not waterproof, it dries much faster, absorbs less water and retains loft far better than untreated down.

What are the features?

The main zip is from the ever reliable YKK brand and features an internal insulated baffle and soft chin guard to avoid rubbing when you're all tucked up inside the vest. For storage options you get two YKK zipped hand pockets and a YKK zipped external chest pocket. Rab have given the Microlight Vest a "slim fit" to ensure the down stays as close to your body as possible to optimise the insulation but there is enough room for lightweight layers if you need extra warmth.

Where does it fit in the layering system?

The Microlight Vest can either be used as a midlayer under a shell to boost overall warmth, or can be worn as a protective outer layer when you don't require the warmth of a full jacket.

1Bust

Measure around the fullest part of the bust and across the shoulder blades of your back. When measuring the bust for women's underwear and swimwear, follow the bra measuring guidelines.

2Waist

Measure at the natural waistline, just above the hip bone.

3Hips

Measure around the fullest part of your hips. As a guideline this is often 20cm below your natural waistline.

4Inside leg

Measure from the top of the inside leg to the floor.

5Sleeve

This is a bit more tricky! Measure from the top of your spine (at the bottom of your neck) to your elbow and on the your wrist

6Arm

You should place the beginning of the measuring tape behind your shoulder, and feed it out following your arm making sure to pass both the elbow joint and the wrist, as pictured. You should take the measurement at the point where you would like the sleeve to end. This is usually just past your wrist.
