What are the Beta SV Bibs?

What are they made of?
The Beta SV's are made using a mixture of fabrics; you've got a super-tough yet breathable and pliable 80D nylon throughout the majority of the trouser and almost bombproof 140D reinforcements in areas which require greater durability. The lower leg features Keprotec instep patches to deal with regular abrasion and crampon strikes. Underneath the tough and burly exterior lies an equally reliable Gore-Tex Pro Most Rugged membrane. This, as the name implies, is Gore's toughest membrane designed to deal with constant, heavy rain and snow.
What are their features?
As the trend with Arcteryx, the features of these trousers have been meticulously thought out. The fully separating, 2-way, WaterTight zippers on either side of the trousers allow for easy removal over boots and crampons but also allow you drop the seat of the trousers without having to remove the suspenders, meaning you can 'do your business' far quicker and easier. The low bib is elasticated through the waist to keep the cold and the snow out. To stop any ingress of snow and water into your boots, the trousers feature tough 100D Cordura PowderCuffs with a lace hook to secure the trousers to your footwear. The trousers also feature two zippered pockets on the bib and a full-length fly-zipper with a popper attachment which is easy to secure when wearing gloves.
How do they fit?
The trousers fall into Arcteryx's 'regular' fit group, which means that they are cut to allow complete freedom of movement while in the mountains and have enough room to fit additional layers underneath. Despite this, they're not big and baggy like cheaper alternatives and feature plenty of articulation around the knees and crotch.
