What is the Featherlite Nano?
It's an exceptionally light version of Montane's Featherlite jacket, 48% lighter, to be exact. This ultralight and packable jacket offers complete windproof protection that's perfect for fast and light adventures in windy conditions.
Made from recycled materials, it weighs merely 52g and is incredibly lightweight and easy to carry in your pack for light protection on the go. Whether you pop it in your running vest, hip pack or your pocket, there's no excuse not to take it with you.
What is it made from?
The Featherlite Nano is constructed from ultralight 10D Pertex Quantum Eco, which is made from 100% recycled Nylon, making it a great choice for eco-conscious adventurers.
Pertex® Quantum Eco is a completely windproof material that is created using a precise weaving of fine and technical yarns. This tightly woven construction provides excellent protection from the wind and also adds light water resistance. The fabric is finished with a lightweight DWR (durable water repellent) that helps shed light rain. However, please note that this doesn't make it waterproof.
The Featherlite Nano's fabric is precisely that, featherlite. It's so lightweight that it looks slightly see-through, but the windproof protection it offers for its weight is phenomenal!
What are its features?
This nano jacket has been designed with minimal features to reduce the overall bulk and provide a minute pack size. However, it does have a YKK lightweight full-length zip fastening, micro elastic cuffs and a semi-elastic hem to help keep it from riding up while you're moving fast. A protective collar shields your neck from harsh winds and strong drafts. The collar also features an internal stuff pocket, which you can pack the jacket into for easy storage in your running vest when it's not in use. Reflective detailing to the front and back helps to increase your visibility after dark.
