What is the Lithium Shoulder Harness Pocket?
It's an add-on pocket that attaches to your Mammut Lithium backpack for storing essentials and keeping them easily accessible, whether a pair of sunnies, mobile phone, wallet, keys or those all-important trail snacks.
What are its features?
This pocket has a cosy fleece lining to help prevent delicate items like glasses or a camera from getting scratched when inside. The zip opening runs across the top of the pocket for quick and easy access, and the easy-to-use attachment means you can strap it onto the shoulder strap of your pack with minimal faff. This product is primarily designed to fit Mammut Lithium packs, but you could even hook it onto your climbing harness or a hip belt if you'd prefer.
The pocket is made with recycled fabrics and a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent - not waterproof) to give maximum protection with lesser environmental impact. The more eco-conscious adventurers will be pleased to know that these materials are also bluesign® and Fair Wear approved.
If you were wondering, PFC-free means perfluorinated chemical free. Perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs), used to add water repellent to textiles, aren't able to break down, so once they reach nature via water waste from factories, they stay out there and contaminate living organisms, working their way up the food chain. PFC's are suspected carcinogens and have been known to affect mammal reproduction and hormone production. Therefore, like many leading brands in the outdoor industry, Mammut has now made it a priority to cut out the use of these chemicals entirely to contribute to a greener manufacturing process.
