What is the Aerofoil Full Zip Jacket?
The Aerofoil Full Zip is a super breathable yet windproof softshell jacket with a lightweight, packable construction. It's perfect for fast-paced, high-output mountain pursuits, whether trail running, scrambling or fastpacking.
What is it made of?
Mountain Equipment has constructed the Aerofoil using its very own durable Exolite 45 double weave. This fabric has been developed and tested to withstand hard-hitting winds whilst offering maximum breathability for comfort and ample protection in exposed conditions.
What are its features?
An elastane-bound Mountain Hood with a rear adjustment offers a more personal fit and extra shelter from the elements.
The jacket sleeves are articulated and pre-shaped to improve freedom of movement, perfect for Alpine climbing or using running poles. Cuffs are elastane bound, allowing more flexibility around the wrists for accommodating smartwatches and for more technical manoeuvres.
The hem of the jacket has a drawcord adjustment to help maximise wind resistance if you're up at higher altitudes. Overlocking and top stitching throughout help to reinforce seams to create a durable, high-quality layer.
The Napoleon chest pocket offers storage for essentials like a phone, GPS or some snacks to keep you energised throughout the day, sealed with a zip fastening for extra security.
Whether walking the dog in your local country park or exploring the mountains, putting the jacket on or taking it off in a hurry will be no problem. There is a chunky YKK® centre front zip for easy access, accommodating you in rapidly changeable conditions.
When you're finished with the lightweight layer, tuck it away into the built-in packable stuffsack for compact storage. If you want to avoid stowing away the stuffsack deep into your kit bag, two twin karabiner loops give you a choice to hook it up and keep it out for later.
An Active Fit helps to trim down excess fabric and keep the weight to a minimum.
